Ridgeview Pediatric Dentistry – a review

Have you ever walked into a business and just instantly felt welcomed and like you mattered? That is how we have felt ever since we stepped foot into Ridgeview Pediatric Dentistry in Westminster, CO.

My children had a dentist before Ridgeview but when our insurance changed we became new patients. Dr. Mudd and her staff have made my children feel comfortable from the minute we met. My oldest, was terrified of the dentist, granted she has anxiety about a few things but that didn’t bother Dr. Mudd one bit. From her bright, open office to the fun play area and current movies playing there is no way a child isn’t going to be excited to visit their office.

I also really appreciate the front desk ladies working around our crazy schedule and always talking to me more like a friend as opposed to an overscheduled, tired, busy mom.

5 kids to the dentist…round 1

Our recent trip was for my 3 youngest. The baby got her teeth checked while sitting in the stroller. So much easier for all of us! Zella was told she is doing a good job brushing 🙂

Eli, my child who I thought would freak out the most, did fantastic. He didn’t want to wear the cool sunglasses at first but once he realized that they looked like his dad’s shades, he put them on. He too was pronounced cavity free. That one was a shocker 😉

Eric the oldest of the youngest loves the dentist. With no dental problems to mention he sees Dr. Mudd every six months. Every time he tells her that, “she looks familiar.” What a goof. Eric’s highlight of the trip was getting his mouth rinsed out in a super fun way – watch here! He was also able to put his name on the cavity free tree and earn coins for the toy dispenser in the lobby. He even gave one of his toys to Zella.

Round 2…

My two older daughters both had teeth pulled recently. Tori was done in less than 15 minutes. Talk about efficient!! When Piper went in she took a little longer as Dr. Mudd had to calm her down a bit – she was worried about the numbing shots. Piper took in the movie Pitch Perfect to watch and between that and the laughing gas she didn’t feel a thing.

Champion in the community

I’d also like to mention that Ridgeview Pediatric Dentistry is out to make a difference in their community. It is their name that I see around town the most. They have sponsored the Gethsemane Green and Gold 5k more than once and they are partners with Thunder Valley K-8 as well. I know for a fact that they do more but these are the two things I am personally connected to.

Dentist = Fun?

Last thing, I swear – Dr. Mudd is fun. Like really fun. She has made a place that can be frightening for children a place that they don’t mind going at all. That in itself takes a lot more than just schooling. So thank you Dr. Mudd and Ridgeview, you have made my life as a mom easier just by being you!
